Some of the best contortionists, circus acts and death-defying aerialists from Russia will headline Zirk: The Big Top Circus Spectacular when it soars into Australia in June.
It’s the first time the circus has been to Australia and will also feature acts from Cuba, Germany, Canada and Mexico — as well as some homegrown talent.
The circus is headlined by Master Russian Clown Dmitry Shindrov.
“We wanted to create something that highlighted the best of Russia’s 140-year circus traditions and marry those with the expectations of a 21st century audience,” said show producer Andrew Guild.
“It’s fast-paced, family-friendly and includes some of the most electrifying acts you will see under the Big Top Chapiteau.
“For children it is a show they will never forget … even more so for adults. This is the best circus program we have ever put together.”
The acts include the Double, Double Giant Wheel, death defying aerialists, the Globe of Death and the most talented trampolinists and jugglers in the world.
